We are currently looking for a Class 2 Driver to join our contracts fleet. You must be flexible with your work, as well as your start times, to ensure the highest level of customer service is met. A full CPC, Digi card and a Class 2 licence are required for this role.

Salary: £30,000
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will be an all-rounder role with a view to supporting the team with the fiduciary responsibilities of the finance function, whilst developing a high-level skillset and contributing to the reporting outputs for internal/external stakeholders. The role will be focused on gaining a breadth of knowledge of Finance and the wider business in order to gain career development.
Key Responsibilities
|
· Processing the 2 x monthly payroll for 450 staff, including salary sacrifice schemes, banked hours, company pensions contributions within agreed deadlines. |
· Processing mileage and expenses claims for salaried staff obtaining authorisation where necessary. |
· Liaison with HR to ensure all personal information is integrated with Sage / PPLHR for accurate processing. |
· You will be responsible for dealing with internal and external queries, providing complex advice and guidance and liaising with HMRC and other organisations, such as Pension providers. |
· Monitoring of clock in and clock out times of office-based personnel; identification of lateness and or insufficient hours worked to be reported to line managers. |
· Posting payroll journals with primary responsibility for the reconciliation of the payroll control accounts |
· Responsible for ensuring Real Time Information reports are made in accordance with HMRC deadlines. |
· Ensuring the calculations for salary/wage deductions are made accurately and that payments to third parties are made in a timely manner. |
· Responsible for ensuring electronic bank payroll runs are executed in a timely manner. |
· Auto enrolment pension, AOE |
Requirements
· Extensive payroll knowledge minimum of 3 years previous payroll experience
· Confident with– Excel (including pivot tables and lookups), Word, Sage 50
· CIPP qualified (or working towards) a recognised payroll qualification (e.g. CIPP)
· Knowledge of reconciliations and a good understanding of accurate management information
· Up to date knowledge of payroll and HR policy changes and the ability to actively apply them
· High attention to detail
· Flexible approach, highly organised and effective time management skills.
· Driven individual, and happy to take ownership of the role as this is a standalone position within the Finance Team.
· Tenacious in approach and confident to challenge
· Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
· Respectful of the need for complete confidentiality
