Key Responsibilities

- Planning the drivers and fleet to achieve set planned deliveries.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the loading of the vehicle so that products are safely loaded and secured to minimise chances of damage.
  • Ensure with Contracts Operation Manager and Loader, that the load is correct against the customers’ orders.
  • Ensure that on arrival the delivery is safe to make and respect customer’s property; if in doubt, consult with the customer and/or Contracts Operation Manager.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Handle customer issues on delivery effectively and contact Contract Operation Manager for assistance if required.
  • Carry out multi-drop deliveries in a timely and safe manner.
  • Complete vehicle daily inspection sheet and give to Contract Operations Manager.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the Company Standards of Performance and Health and Safety Policy.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Shunter to work on our Borg Warner Contract. Between shunting you will be required to work within our warehouse helping on any warehouse needs.

Day to day duties

The role will involve shunting trailers back and forth from our Woodlands site (BD4 6SE) and Borg Warner throughout the evening (mainly using a Terberg tug) and there will also be a requirement to help moving trailers within our Woodland Site.

You will be required to update a log sheet throughout the shift recording trailer numbers, registrations and product codes. There will also be the requirement to wash and fuel vehicles.

Between shunting you will be required to work within the warehouse helping on any warehouse needs, including Packaging building and Decanting. Further training will also be given to include gaining a Counter Balance and Reach licence.

Essential Requirements

- HGV Class 1 license

- Tug Trained

- Digi card

- Experience working in a warehouse environment

- Previous shunting and tug experience

- Confidant in moving trailers around a very tight yard and onto loading bays

- Reach / Counterbalance Licence is desirable but not essential

We are currently looking for an experienced Warehouse Administrator to join our distribution warehouse at Premier Point. This is a 3 month contract, with the potential of becoming permanent for the perfect candidate.

The ideal candidate will be confident in the use of the Microsoft Word and Excel. Be punctual and cordial, especially when dealing with customer enquiries over the phone. Have a proven track record of administration, ideally within a 3PL warehouse environment. This is a fast paced environment with customer deadlines that need to be met, to ensure the smooth running of our operation. Therefore you will need to be orangised with the ability to prioritse your workload, whilst remaining calm and professional at all times.

Day to day duties:

- Accurately input all incoming and outgoing stock into the WMS

- Import customer orders from multiple spreadsheets

- Generate pick lists for the following day

- Confirming all receipted goods to customer within 24 hours.

- Answering customer queries via telephone and email

- Ensure Standard operating procedures are followed

- Assisting with general admin duties as required
