A positive impact

At Expect we have a progressive approach to corporate social responsibility with a dedicated committee led by our Managing Director.

CSR objectives are agreed and reviewed twice yearly under the following 3 categories;

Our People

Its our people that make the business a success. During 2020 we announced a new and improved employee benefit package including additional holidays, a company healthcare scheme, the funding of all HGV driver medicals, enhanced maternity and paternity leave, a new onsite gym facility and an annual BBQ for all employees and their families.

We are committed to providing equal opportunities and achieving diversity within our business.

We communicate regularly with all employees, in weekly 1-2-1 meetings, monthly employee newsletter, through social networking channels and via employee surveys where we promote our company values and welcome new ideas and projects.

The health and safety of our employees and others who may be affected by our activities is of upmost importance.

Our community

At Expect we understand our responsibility in relation to CSR, especially during these unprecedented times. During 2020 we have agreed that all employees are entitled to a paid day to volunteer in our local community and we recently responded to emergency appeals from 2 charities that we have worked with over the years with a donation of £5000 to each.

Our corporate charity partner ANDYSMANCLUB, who are a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online. We want to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and help men through the power of conversation. #ITSOKAYTOTALK

In 2022 Expect wanted to help ensure they can support as many of the Employees’ charities close to them and their families, and as such introduced a Charity request scheme; allocating a sum of £4,000 a year for employees’ charities or sponsorship requests.

We work with both Bradford college and Huddersfield University to offer apprenticeship schemes and placement opportunities.

Expect also supports 2 local football clubs, Huddersfield Town and Bradford City.
