Expect wore it Pink!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, a worldwide annual campaign highlighting the importance of breast cancer awareness, education and research. Due to the success of last year’s Wear it Pink day, Expect have got involved again.

On Friday 21st October 2016, Expect wore it pink but this year they raised money in memory of Susan Spring, a much loved member of the team, who sadly lost her battle with cancer in September. Expect decided to raise donations to plant a memorial tree at our Premier Point premises in memory of Susan. The rest of the money donated went to Breast Cancer Research.

The day was a huge success and everyone at Expect got involved including some of their suppliers. TES MacDonald kindly donated balloons, sweets and set Expect the Pink Wig Challenge which saw them donate a fantastic £60. Versant UK donated £25 towards our Wear it Pink Day which was amazing.

Sales and Marketing Co-ordinator, Jess Bailey commented “What a fantastic Pink Day at Expect. I am excited to announce that our grand total was £469.00, doubling the amount we raised last year! This is an amazing achievement and the money raised will be split between Breast Cancer Now and Susan’s Memorial Tree. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone at Expect for getting involved on the day and donating and a special thank you to our suppliers, TES MacDonald and Versant.”
