Expect Opens Largest Site Yet in Bradford

Here at Expect we are expecting a year of “unprecedented growth” as we open the doors to a new 193,000sq ft warehouse in March 2019.

The 10 acre site is located within a mile of our head office, adjacent to the M606 motorway and will be the company’s fourth warehousing facility in Yorkshire. The site is anticipated to create 40 new jobs within the area and see the total number of employees rise above 300 for the first time in our history.

The new multifunctional warehouse will provide the company with an increased total storage capacity of 60,000 pallets and endorses the Expect medium term strategy for growth within warehousing and contract logistics.

Managing Director Neil Rushworth commented

“This is an extremely exciting year for Expect as we continue on our development path as a multi-faceted logistics provider and we are delighted to have secured such a large prominent site, close to our current headquarters which will allow us to deliver unprecedented growth levels with our turnover in the warehousing division expected to rise from £3m to at least £5m in 2019 with total growth of the overall business projected at 20% after a turnover of £28.5m in 2018.”

Expect have secured two new contracts that will occupy half of the available space at the new site and will commence shortly after it opens.

Demand for 3PL warehousing is so high at the moment that Expect anticipate the new site to reach volume capacity within 6 months.

Rushworth added, “Our biggest area of growth is in long term contracts, both in transport and warehousing and we are delighted to open the site with new agreements with two very large players in their own respective industries.

All the contract wins illustrate where our primary efforts are currently, those being in long term partnerships with quality businesses providing a bespoke service to them which adds value to their operations.”
