Expect Distribution made its mark yet again at the 2006 Palletline Awards celebrations - the tenth time the Awards have been held, and the first time Expect has attended in its new corporate guise.
The company took top honours as Inputter of the Year, reflecting dramatic and sustained growth over the past year and exceeding for the first time a total of 100,000 pallets put through the system over a 12 month period. Expect Distribution is the first Palletline company ever to achieve this figure.
Expect also narrowly missed winning Depot of the Year - a title with which they have been honoured three times previously - achieving a very commendable second place in this prestigious accolade, awarded for excellence across the board from input volume growth and trunking performance through to overall delivery service quality.
The Awards were held this year at the Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire, attended by more than 250 representatives from Palletline companies around the UK. They are intended to recognise significant achievements and improvements made by individual Member Companies during the past year.
The event included a daytime conference, providing an ideal opportunity for Palletliners to compare notes, meet up with their opposite numbers from other Palletline depots and share ideas for improving and expanding the overall service.
Operations Director Neil Rushworth was delighted with the company's achievements on the night. "It is very important to all of us at Expect Distribution to feature prominently in the Palletline Awards, as we feel this reflects accurately the focus we place on quality and performance all year round - not only to our customers but also our fellow Palletline members," he stated.
