MAY 06 - New Livery Exceeds Expectations For Expect Distribution ..

When Pennine Parcels made the decision in 2005 to rebrand and change its name to Expect Distribution, undergoing a radical change of corporate identity in the process, the company did not expect to see the dramatic growth in business that has resulted from the metamorphosis earlier this year.

The reasoning behind the change of identity was purely commercial. The company had grown and diversified significantly since it was first established back in 1988, and the management recognised that the original name was no longer representative of the broader-based distribution organisation it had become.

Initial opinions expressed of the new livery were favourable, but more importantly, the company has seen very positive results, opening a total of 45 new accounts many of these household names since the relaunch in March of this year. Already, half of the company's entire fleet sports the distinctive new dark blue and light blue identity, which continues to make an impact on the roads across the country.

As a direct result of this increased demand, Expect Distribution has continued to invest heavily in its infrastructure to maintain the highest levels of quality and service. The company has now opened a new 30,000ft2 warehouse in Sowerby Bridge to facilitate additional business. A further five vehicles have been added to the fleet, including artics and 26 tonners, and work has begun on a new office extension alongside the existing headquarters in Halifax to accommodate the growth in personnel numbers.

"The impact of the rebranding exercise has significantly exceeded our original expectations," stated Neil Rushworth, Operations Director. "We always enjoyed a reputation as a dynamic and forward-thinking company, but we now feel we present that image more accurately out on the roads. The effect on the business is more than tangible, and our latest projected expansion plans are already in hand, evaluating the potential for building yet more warehousing to our own specifications to meet developing demand into the future."
