One of Yorkshire's fastest-growing distribution companies presents a new face to the outside world from this week with the introduction of a brand new corporate identity and vehicle livery to reflect its developing image as an innovative provider of distribution solutions.

Pennine Parcels' distinctive hills and dales logo has been a familiar sight on roads both in the county and nationwide since the company was founded in 1988. From now on, the business will be known as Expect Distribution - and has a completely new image to match the name change.
Operations Director Neil Rushworth explains the reasons behind the company's decision to make such a radical change. "Although we recognised the value of our brand and the established reputation behind the name, Pennine Parcels was no longer an accurate description of our business," he stated. "We're a national distribution company and it's over seven years since we stopped transporting parcels to focus on pallets, so a change of name was well overdue."
Operating as Expect Distribution, the company will continue to offer a comprehensive range of services focused around fast, reliable and cost effective distribution of palletised goods throughout the UK and further afield. Next day and economy delivery services are supported by a host of additional facilities including domestic distribution, breakbulk and warehousing facilities.
The new image has been in planning for 18 months, working in close cooperation with Elland-based DMD Design & Marketing Ltd. As a result, Expect Distribution will have almost half its fleet on the road in the distinctive new livery by the end of April with full conversion scheduled for early 2007. The new website also includes the introduction of an online booking facility.
The change of identity does not affect the management of the company. Expect Distribution remains a family-owned business, employing 90 people at its six-acre Listers Road site on the outskirts of Halifax. "We believe we lead the field in terms of reliability and performance," states Managing Director Robert Rushworth. "We remain dedicated to achieving the highest levels of quality in all areas, and establishing the Expect Distribution name as the benchmark for excellence in distribution."
