Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice extends their Neonatal Care into Bradford

Expect Distribution continues to support Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice raising over £9100 during the last 3 years. We are delighted to announce that our chosen charity have extended their neonatal care into the Bradford area – the home of Expect!

Nationally, 98% of neonatal babies with palliative care needs pass away in hospitals. These babies and their families miss the opportunity of care in a more homely surrounding. This service will enable the family to spend precious time with their baby at home or in the homely hospice setting, as opposed to the more clinical hospital environment.

Although still in its early stages in Bradford, it enables the charity to offer their neonatal and antenatal support to more families in West Yorkshire whilst assisting fellow healthcare professionals in ensuring the highest levels of care are provided to families. In terms of their service, they also open the door to bereavement support, for as long as the family needs it.

Throughout the year Expect will aim to raise as much money as possible to help support the new neonatal care service in Bradford.

Sharon Ennis, Corporate Fundraiser at Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice said “Expect Distribution have been fantastic supporters of ours for a number of years and to have raised over £9000 over the last 3 years is amazing! As we continue to expand the care we offer to families in Bradford we are keen to grow our awareness and supporter base across this area too.”
